FACILITATING PROTECTION AND EDUCATION OF THE FIRE SERVICE AND PUBLIC FROM THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF FIRE, SUDDEN MEDICAL EMERGENCIES, AND EXPOSURE TO DANGEROUS CONDITIONS CREATED BY EITHER MAN OR NATURE

The organization's purpose is to provide a professional association open to all persons involved in the planning for, mitigation of, response to, and/or recovery from natural and man-made disasters.

THE GOALS OF AFDA ARE ADVOCACY, INFORMATION, AND EDUCATION TO STIMULATE COMMUNITY UNDERSTANDING OF FIRE DISTRICTS AND PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE USE OF FIRE DISTRICTS.

TO PROVIDE CARE, RELIEF, AID, AND ASSISTANCE TO THE MEMBERS OF THIS ORGANIZATION, AND THEIR FAMILIES, WHO ARE SICK OR INDIGENT.

The organization was formed to improve the communication and cooperation between the various fire companies in Camden County, New Jersey. The organization further serves to educate, train and inform the firefighters of Camden County, NJ and the surrounding communities.

To provide retirement benefits to volunteer firefighters.

The Atlantic City Jitney Association is a nonprofit organization which assists in promoting and regulating the provision of jitney mass transit in the area by training, scheduling, and assisting the 190 private jitney operators licensed in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

To protects its members from injustices in any form, promote self-determination and champion issues and causes that are important to the members.
