"We are dedicated to helping students grow in their knowledge of agriculture, the environment, and natural resources for the benefit of Oregonians today and in the future.
Agriculture in the Classroom is a nationwide educational program designed to help students develop an awareness and understanding that agriculture is the source of our food, clothing, shelter and other essentials." - https://oregonaitc.org/about/
The goal of the Agricultural Literacy Project is to improve both the reading and agricultural literacy of Oregon students in grades K-4. Each year, a new agriculturally themed book is chosen, and a lesson is developed that reinforces the message of the book.
Oregon students in grades K-6 are invited to submit original artwork about Oregon agriculture for the contest. We encourage students to use a lot of creativity and color in their artwork. Winners receive $50, and the calendar is distributed to 4,000 individuals annually.
A free, fun, and engaging way for students to interact with farmers in real time. Students join farmers for a live, 30-minute walkthrough of their farm.
Our annual fundraising dinner. All proceeds from this event go to support the development of our programming.
