Gamma Mu Foundation

The Gamma Mu Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation that seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of the LGBTQ+ community, primarily in rural and underserved populations of the United States.

The Gamma Mu Foundation's commitment to uplifting underserved LGBTQ+ youth strengthened my path of becoming a first-generation college graduate. As a young, rural, and out high school student, I saw the Foundation's work and leadership as a testament to the strength, tenacity, and success of the LGBTQ+ community.

Grants Program

The Gamma Mu Foundation supports local LGBTQ+ community organizations, empowering them to expand their reach, enhance services, and build stronger, more inclusive environments.

The Foundation’s grants focus on three key program areas:

Community Support Services: Activities proposed to meet the needs of rural communities and underserved LGBTQ+ populations, such as young people, seniors, and victims of bullying, and promote empowerment and inclusivity.

Public Education and Research: Initiatives designed to increase awareness and understanding of LGBTQ+ issues, foster a more inclusive environment for the community, and establish a foundation for evidence-based advocacy.

HIV and Health Programs: Interventions designed to meet the needs of persons, caregivers, and families impacted by HIV and other health conditions (e.g., aging and mental health), including support and outreach activities.

Scholarships Program

The Gamma Mu Foundation is committed to supporting the academic aspirations of gay men and LGBTQ+ students through our annual scholarship program. Scholarships provide financial assistance for a wide range of educational paths, including vocational training, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and graduate or professional programs.
